I was born in Pilzen, Czech Republic, formally Czechoslovakia. Once I finished my studies, I worked as a film editor for Czechoslovak TV in Prague.
In 1975, I came to the United States with my family. While residing and working in New York City, I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology. Although my love is fashion design, I ended up working for many years as a flight attendant. After retiring, I was able to return to my dream of being a full time artist.
I grew up under the artistic influence of my uncle, Jindrich Juna, an accomplished painter and sculptor. Following his philosophy of expressing one's feelings and combined with my life experiences, I have expanded my own creativity into many facets of visual arts.
My artistic expression is enhanced by sensual use of texture, vibrant color, and sensitivity to volume culminating in a unique contemporary look that is infused with occasional levity.
